I received three of the novels for review.. The Gingerbread Men Meet Cassandra “Cass” Logan and her two daughters, Amy and Lia, of Christmas Town, Maine. Enjoy a heartwarming Christmas trio that is as sweet as the Gingerbread cookies that is enjoyed during the holiday season. In “The Gingerbread Heart” by Liz Flaherty, Cass Logan is returning “home” after taking care of her mother and before that caring for her husband. She has returned to Christmas Town to be closer to her daughters and hopefully soon to be grandchildren. She has no clue what she needs to find meaning in her life. Answering an ad for a temporary position with Elijah Welcome aka E.W. Doherty an actual minister but mystery writing author. He needs help to recover from surgery and to finish up his next best-selling book. Can she be a care giver again or keep it “business” only? But a chance to work with her favorite author is too much to pass up. A delightful tale making those traditional Gingerbread cookies to hang on the Christmas tree and maybe a chance to continue on with life and all it has to offer. In “The Gingerbread Pony” by Patricia Bradley, met Amy Logan a Speech Pathologist, and her therapy horse Ginger at Twin Sticks Farm. Her last patient before leaving Christmas Town, Maine is Lizzy – the daughter of ex-boyfriend, Marc Bradford. Mark was Amy first and true love, but Mark chose this first love music over Amy years ago. His daughter has suffered a tragedy and can no longer speak. Amy knows that Ginger is the key to helping Lizzy. Before Amy leaves town and Ginger gives birth to a new pony can they help Lizzy? When Ginger give birth early, Lizzy speaks her first word “Gingerbread” and names Ginger’s new foal. Can love be rekindled at Two Sticks Farm? Can Marc and Lizzy give Amy the family she so desperately wants? A delightful tale that makes Christmas traditions so important to everyone and why we look forward to them each Holiday season In “The Gingerbread House” by Rula Simara, Lia Logan has put her whole life and her whole saving account into Holly Haven a rescue/rehab center for animals of all shapes and sizes. When she decided to move into the old cabin closer to Holly Haven, a stranger and his son are living in the cabin. Quinn Weston and his six-year old son, Jax, are on the run. Quinn is not running from the law, but from his ex-wife who wants to take his son after she gave up her rights years ago to “save” her reputation. Quinn has lost everything his own, his business and his savings taking care of his grandfather, who was the caretaker for Two Sticks Farm, and his son. Lia “hires” him to fix up the old cabin and starts making Gingerbread bird houses that Lia and the entire town of Christmas Town, Main falls in love with. Can Lia get a grant to save Holly Haven and will Quinn finally trust someone enough to give him a chance to start a new life for himself and Jax? A delightful tale that makes you heart warm like hot chocolate does on a cold winter night and opens your heart to the holiday season. A copy of The Gingerbread Men was provided by L. Flaherty to the reviewer.
