#GIVING TUESDAY
An estimated  70%  of adults in the US have experienced a traumatic event at least once in their lives and up to  20% percent  of these people go on to develop post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD. An estimated  5%  of Americans—more than 13 million people—have PTSD at any given time.  Your tax-deductible donation to International Trauma Institute can help us reach our goal of $100,000 in support of our programs that help teach people how to use our scientifically based research.

This year our research study proved that using SE healing therapies improved PTSD outcomes by more than 60% over other conventional therapies. Our caring team of professionals also trained 1,000 professionals to add EmotionAid™ and The Ross Model protocols to the sectors of society that can heal trauma. These self-help techniques can be used on-the-spot, anywhere, any time.

With your compassionate and generous donation , these EmotionAid™ techniques can impact the medical field, the military, the media, diplomats and NGOs, educators, psychotherapy professionals, and first responders, as well as the general public.
AZIZA'S STORY - Eight years ago, Aziza’s home was burglarized while she and her two very young children were home. The burglary took place at 3:00 am. Since that night, Aziza has awakened every night at 3:00 am and sent her husband to check the entire house. Every evening, she checks the house and inspects all the cupboards and closets, feeling nervous and insecure whenever she thinks of the event.

In a twenty minute demonstration of SE® with EmotionAid™, Aziza went through the images that were still haunting her. The therapist helped her discharge each image/thought that was still causing her anxiety. Aziza was amazed with the sensations of discharge and release that took place in her body. She felt a tremendous surge of energy and her whole body was ready to attack the burglar. The therapist normalized Aziza’s healthy, instinctive response of aggression to protect herself and her children. She explained this sense of aggression was healthy.

“You mean that what I felt was healthy? That I am healthy!” The next day, Aziza told the therapist that she slept through the night for the first time in eight years. On follow-up later, she was still sleeping through the night.

Your generous donation in support of our programs will help traumatized people like Aziza recover from long-term suffering, provide resources to other victims of all kinds of trauma, and have long-term effects for reducing the effects of trauma in the world. Your tax-deductible gift helps us spread our healing techniques everywhere.

During this fundraising period, your donation will go even further. We have a donor match offer up to $50,000 for each dollar we raise. This will allow us to help entire groups who may be suffering from collective trauma (hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.), in entire nations.

Every day Aziza worried about the well-being and safety of her family. Because she received effective EmotionAid™ therapy, she is now able to sleep through the night and feel healthy. With your help, we can help thousands of people like Aziza to heal from their traumatic experiences.

Your donation on Giving Tuesday, November 28, 2017, will benefit our ability to plan for our programs in 2018 and ensure that you receive a tax-deductible receipt for your 2017 taxes. Your help on Giving Tuesday also helps meet our generous matching donor’s year-end deadline.

Please give on Giving Tuesday, November 28 to help our programs.
