Hello again! It’s Megan from Homemade Ginger and I’m back to share another craft that’s perfect for back to school! This apple stamp craft is so cute and versatile. Kids of all ages will love making their own stamps out of apples!
Do you remember making potato stamps as a kid? I remember trying to carve potatoes into shapes with my mom and turn them into stamps. They never turned out so well but it was definitely fun! You also may have tried turning styrofoam meat trays into stamps. We used to trim the edges off the meat trays (after they were cleaned off, of course) and “carve” shapes and letters into the with something sharp. Roll on some paint and you have a DIY stamp! Although these were far from professional, I think it was the concept of using an every day item intended for something else and turning it into art that was so fun as a kid.
These apple stamps are way simpler than trying to carve a potato or use a meat tray in your next art project. Just slice an apple in half and apply paint for these adorable apple creatures. I love adding googly eyes to crafts because it instantly brings them to life and makes anything a little bit sillier which is always a good thing. These apple stamps are no exception. Kids can add just 2 eyes or a whole bunch to make apple monsters. This craft has endless possibilities!
These apple stamps are so versatile because you can turn them into a tag for a teacher gift and clip them onto a bag or even attach them to a piece of twine for some fun fall decor!
