While a 5:30 a.m. wakeup call wasn't exactly what I had in mind for this Tuesday morning, I must say what followed was well worth not hitting the snooze button.

New York's Trump Hotel has just raised the bar when it comes to amenities. The brand's Central Park West location has introduced a boot camp workout taught in Central Park and exclusive to guests of the hotel (although they let this wary writer take a whack at it).

Available twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 a.m.) for $65 per guest, Trump's boot camp in the park is the perfect way to not let being on the go and in an unfamiliar place get in the way of your workout routine and taking on a healthy lifestyle.

Taught by fitness trainer Mitchel Heard, the boot camp consists of 60 minutes of circuit work. Heard's exercises focus on different areas of training, including strength, stretching, plyometrics, and calisthenics. Speaking as someone who's taken this class (and is reminded of it by my sore upper body and backside), Heard leaves no muscle unworked and no trainee unattended.

What exactly can you expect from this class?

1. A small crowd: Classes are limited to 10 people.

2. A real workout: From burpees to squat jumps and beyond, Trump's latest offering ensures its participants leave feeling invigorated, not spent. Inspired, not intimidated.

3. A backup plan: And if you happen to forget your workout gear at home/the airport/etc., Trump will provide you with complimentary Under Armour fare (shorts, shirts, and shoes).

4. A delicious recovery: Trump recently partnered with Heartbeet Juicery (which gets all its ingredients locally and cold presses each and every juice) to make in-room juice delivery a reality for guests. Try one or get an entire six pack for just $65 per day and enjoy options like watermelon juice, lemonade, and green smoothies.

5. A gorgeous place to rest: This opportunity for hotel guests means not only getting a great start to the day while traveling, but then getting to come back to a room that looks like THIS:

So next time you find yourself headed to New York and don't want to find yourself at the bottom of a Room Service black hole or giving up on exercise while away, remember Trump's game-changing amenities. This way, you won't feel so much like you need a vacation from your last vacation.
