Dutch government reconfirms commitment to biotechnology


A letter by the Dutch State Secretary, reconfirms the Dutch government’s desire to modernise biotechnology policy. In particular, the Netherlands remains committed to enabling the latest methods of plant breeding innovation to contribute to the European agri-food chain. Two separate teams of scientists led by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and the Broad Institute have, with the help of CRISPR, identified key genes essential for cancer survival, making them attractive drug targets. Read More
