Quote1 See, right now you're afraid. You see the blood and that little bit of goop on my shoulder that you're terrified is a bit of brain. It is by the way. Not human, but still. More than that, you're wondering why you can't pick up that phone right now. That's probably the bit that's got your spine tingling more than anything. Because that's the scary thought, isn't it? You see wonders every day...men in tights shooting through the skies, caught up in the sun... ...you see that and you understand, deep down, that the sun casts shadows, and that if the bright's so bright, you sure as hell don't want to see what lives in the dark. You can tell you're on the edge of one right now, can't you? And you've got this sense that if you step in, you'll never come back. you'll be alone with the dark things from here until the end of time. But then again, you think, maybe it's not that you can't pick up that phone. Maybe it's that you don't want to. Maybe it's that a handsome bloke dressed sharp as a tack walked into your shop, and there's nothing scary happening here at all. Quote2

Synopsis for "Going Down"

John stands naked and covered in blood inside a clothing store before a bewildered clerk. He forcibly stops her from calling the police and cons her into clothing him whilst the ghost of Gary Lester acts as his conscience.

Leaving the store, and the woman, John steals cigarettes and a wallet from a stranger on the street through sleight of hand though ghosts pester him the whole time. He commands them all to disappear and eats at a nearby bistro.

Inside he meets Oliver and the two chat until Blythe enters and seduces him into helping her out with a Demon issue. She owns a theme-bar based upon Dante's Inferno - a nine-floor club with each level representing a circle from Dante's epic poem. She explains that she can not solve her problem because if she were to banish anything to Hell, she would be taken alongside it.

Blythe taunts John about a girl he loved though John's magical barriers prevent her from guessing the correct name. She leads him into a basement where Haluk - the lead demon - is talking to the staff.

Blythe has hired John to rid her of Haluk which would leave her in charge of the business though a loophole which would allow her to collect souls though Haluk's mechanisms. Haluk is enraged and attacks John who manages to sedate him with holy water and begins the incantation to banish the demon but stumbles on the last few words which Blythe, in her hubris, finishes for him and the two banish the demon. This also drags Blythe into Hell alongside Haluk leaving her to curse him as she is dragged through the Earth.

John stands alone in the basement before his ghosts return and Gary Lester tells him that someone has been killing John's ghosts, and that it's his fault!
