For Our Babies New York!
The Early Care and Learning Council (ECLC), New York's child care resource network based in Albany, NY, is partnering with For Our Babies to launch a new campaign, For Our Babies New York.
New York is the first state to join the national movement and the effort is being steered by the statewide Infant and Toddler Resource Network, a group of 27 infant and toddler training specialists coordinated through the Early Care and Learning Council. The network will begin the campaign by focusing on the fourth pillar, Quality Infant and Toddler Care. "Follow" For Our Babies New York on Twitter and "Like" For Our Babies New York on Facebook!
More than ever before, babies and their families need leaders to speak out on their behalf. We are heartened by ECLC’s initiative to rally around these important issues in New York State and we're absolutely delighted to have New York join us as partners in the For Our Babies movement. For more information on how to get involved in the campaign email us at followus@forourbabies.org!
Please continue to spread the word about the For Our Babies campaign! Don't forget to "Like Us" on Facebook and "Follow Us" on Twitter.

Children At-Risk: Early Learning, Early Intervention
Oregon, WA
In March, 2015 the League of Women Voters of Oregon published a study on Children At-Risk: Early Learning, Early Intervention. Among other items, it discusses the critical importance of early childhood. The League believes that educating the public about these issues will lead to more children arriving in kindergarten ready to learn.
The League will partner and convene with various agencies to present viewings of " Are We Crazy About Our Kids?" and a discussion/forum of local educational experts in at least a dozen different communities throughout the state, starting in Fall/Winter 2015 and concluding in Spring 2016. Additionally, the League plans to distribute information at the forums about the For Our Babies movement including ways to get involved such as hosting book clubs to discuss For Our Babies: Ending the Invisible Neglect of America’s Infants.
