2016 has been a year unlike any other for Cole Swindell. After reaching the top of the charts with the heart-wrenching ode to his dad, “You Should Be Here,” the Georgia native is once again in the No.1 slot with his hit “Middle Of A Memory.”

“Thanks to my team at Warner for my sixth No.1 in a row!” said Swindell. “Country Radio you have been so good to me and a huge part of why I get to hear fans singing songs like ‘Middle Of A Memory’ back to me every night! Let’s celebrate!”

“Middle Of A Memory” went viral earlier this year when 9-year-old Angelica Haile sang the song to Swindell during a meet-and-greet arranged by the Miss America Organization. Haile, a member of the Children’s Miracle Network, was on hand to sing the National Anthem at the Miss America pageant, where Swindell was serving as a judge.

“This is a great memory! Thank you so much. This made my whole night,” he told the little girl after her performance.

The ballad is not only Swindell’s sixth as an artist, but his ninth as a songwriter. He co-wrote the song with Ashley Gorley and Zach Crowell.
