Lions, and Tigers and Bears, Oh My! Calling all Red Hawks! Join us for an adventure packed day at The Turtle Back Zoo at a special discounted admission. Meet some furry, scaly, or feathery friends; from the Australian Exhibit and African Adventure to the Wolf of Woods and Reptile House. There is so much to explore! Meet with a few animal ambassadors and discover how different coverings help animals survive in their natural habitats or try your hand at crafting and learn about the importance of health and well-being.

Enjoy a boxed lunch in our reserved seating area, as well as all of the amazing exhibits that the Turtle Back Zoo has to offer. Don’t forget to wear red or your MSU gear to show your Red Hawk Pride!

Pre-registration is required. Please register online by August 23 12:00pm.

Registration includes general admission and 1 animal presentation, $5 gift to The Fund for Montclair State (for adult tickets only), and reserved seating for a boxed lunch. Refunds are not available after August 19. Thank you for your support of Montclair State University!

Animal Coverings

Description: Animals are covered in skin, fur, shells, scales, and feathers. Meet some animal ambassadors to discover how different coverings help the animals survive and thrive in their native habitats.

Animal Enrichment

Description: There’s a lot more to keeping our animals happy and healthy besides feeding them!  Learn about the importance of enrichment to the health and well-being animals and try your hand at crafting a unique and appropriate enrichment item for some of the animals. This program also includes an up-close meeting with a few animal ambassadors too!
