 Kajal woke up in the morning and went to the dormitory next door. I sat down to read.


 During breakfast, Kajal came and said, "There will be no classes in the college. The college has been closed indefinitely."


 So after breakfast, Sajeed, Kajal and I went to Bipin Park on Jubilee Ghat on the banks of the Brahmaputra River to discuss the situation in the city.


 An hour later I saw Kamaruzzaman and four others led by Qutbuddin tied with ropes.


 Kutubaddi has a three knot three rifle in his hand. He pointed his rifle at the four and said, "You have disturbed the peace of Pakistan. You are fighting against Pakistan. I will kill you today."


 Then a man said, "Even if you can kill us, you will not be able to stop the independence of Bangladesh."



 Kutubaddi then punched the man in the stomach with a barrel of rifle and said, "You make clay idols and sell them. And now you are fighting to break the peace of Pakistan. Today is your last day."


 Kutubaddi said this and shot four people dead.


 Seeing this, all the people present ran away. We also ran and hid behind a big tree near Kachari.


 After a while I came out of hiding and came to Mirbari corner of College Road. Then an old man called to us. We approached and asked, "Who are you?"


 The man: - I am Rahmat Ali, the regional commander of the liberation war. Mr. Jamal has told me about you. You will call me uncle.


 Sajeed then told the happening of Bipin Park at Jubilee Ghat. Then Uncle Rahmat said, "I also saw the incident in Bipin Park. Kutubaddi shot and killed four people. So I will kill Kutubaddi." (Continued http://ow.ly/UniA102Y8D3 ) ©️All Right Reserved by Junayed Ashrafur Rahman 


সকালে ঘুম থেকে উঠে কাজল গেল পাশের ছাত্রাবাসে। আমি পড়তে বসলাম।


নাস্তার সময় কাজল এসে বলল, " কলেজে ক্লাস হবেনা। অনির্দিষ্টকালের জন্য কলেজ বন্ধ করা হয়েছে। "


তাই নাস্তার পর সাজেদ, কাজল আর আমি চলে এলাম ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদের তীরে জুবিলি ঘাটের বিপিন পার্কে শহরের পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে আলোচনা করতে।


এক ঘণ্টা পর দেখলাম কামারুজ্জামান আর কুতুবদ্দির নেতৃত্বে চারজনকে দড়ি দিয়ে বেঁধে নিয়ে এসেছে।


কুতুবদ্দির হাতে একটা থ্রি নট থ্রি রাইফেল। সে রাইফেলটা চারজনের দিকে তাক করে বলল, " তোরা পাকিস্তানের শান্তি ভঙ্গ করেছিস। পাকিস্তানের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করছিস। তোদেরকে আজ হত্যা করব। "


তখন একটা লোক বলল, " আমাদেরকে তোরা মারতে পারলেও বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা থামাতে পারবিনা। "



কুতুবদ্দি তখন ঐ লোকের পেটে রাইফেলের ব্যারেল দিয়ে জোরে গুঁতো দিয়ে বলল, " তুই ত মাটির মূর্তি বানিয়ে বিক্রি করিস। আর এখন পাকিস্তানের শান্তি ভঙ্গ করার জন্য যুদ্ধ করছিস। আজ তোদের শেষ দিন। "


কুতুবদ্দি এই কথা বলে চারজনকে গুলি করে মেরে ফেলল।


এটা দেখে উপস্থিত সকল জনসাধারণ দৌড়ে পালাতে লাগল। আমরাও দৌড়ে কাচারির কাছে একটা বড় গাছের আড়ালে লুকালাম।


কিছুক্ষণ পর আড়াল থেকে বের হয়ে কলেজ রোডের মীরবাড়ি মোড়ে এলাম। তখন একটা বয়স্ক লোক আমাদেরকে কাছে ডাকল। আমরা কাছে গিয়ে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, " আপনি কে ? " 


লোকটা :- আমি মুক্তিযুদ্ধের আঞ্চলিক কমান্ডার রহমত আলি। জামাল সাহেব তোমাদের ব্যাপারে আমাকে বলে গিয়েছেন। তোমরা আমাকে চাচা বলে সম্বোধন করবে। 


সাজেদ তখন জুবিলি ঘাটের বিপিন পার্কের ঘটনাটা বলল। তখন রহমত চাচা বললেন, " আমিও দেখেছি বিপিন পার্কের ঘটনা। কুতুবদ্দি চারজনকে গুলি করে হত্যা করেছে। তাই কুতুবদ্দিকে আমি খুন করব। " (চলবে http://ow.ly/UniA102Y8D3 ) ©️All Right Reserved by Junayed Ashrafur Rahman
