Fraud Rings - Fee Earner
To investigate and resolve pre-litigated and litigated cases where fraud is suspected, to the satisfaction of our clients.
• Identify fraud type, set initial strategy, action plan and assess prospects of success following a review of available evidence in accordance with client guidelines
• Consider and advise on the position of indemnity and appropriate case law
• Compliance to the court timetable and employing procedural tactics to the clients’ advantage. Undertaking advocacy where required
• Undertake key investigations in accordance with identified fraud type and regularly review strategy, following Keoghs processes
• Provide written updates by email or letter to clients detailing case activity to ensure that they receive up to date and accurate information about progress
• Advise on potential recovery and enforcement in appropriate cases
• Upon fraud being ruled out, to pursue the rapid and economic settlement of cases and costs
• Achievement of Keoghs KPI’s, objectives and financial targets
• Timely and accurate maintenance of all case management, billing and management information systems. Adherence to file management policies
• To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2015
Essential
• Established career in civil litigation claims handling / as a legal fee earner or suitably qualified (ILEX, LPC etc)
• Experience of running an RTA litigated caseload, working knowledge of CPR
• An understanding of insurance litigation practice and processes together with indemnity principles
• Proficient use of a case management system, MS Office suite and Outlook email. Experience of time recording and billing systems
• The desire and enthusiasm to want to move into the fraud rings area

Desirable:

• Previous fraud experience and/or knowledge of fraud indicators
