(Herkimer, Sauquoit, NY – June 2015) During the spring semester, the Herkimer College Science Club restored two historic markers in Sauquoit marking the birthplace of Dr. Asa Gray, a botanist and friend of Charles Darwin.

In addition to restoring the historic markers, the club also symbolically adopted a snowy owl at the Utica Zoo with funds won at various events throughout the academic year.
