Summer is in full swing in Harlem, with great events scheduled for all Culture Lovers…..from Shakespeare, to Dance Music, to Jazz, and to Broadway Plays, you are in for a treat!  Top 8 summer events to enjoy are:

1. DJ Stormin’ Norman has brought back his ever popular Sundae Sermon. All events are Free! Upcoming dates and locations are:

o   Sunday, June 28, with DJ Louie Vega and DJ Kevin Hedge, 1pm-7pm at St. Nicholas Park at 135th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue- Bring your picnic basket!
o   Saturday, July 25. Skate Party with DJ Stormin’ Norman and Mike Dominico, 3pm-7pm at Central Park Skate Circle @ 72nd Street- Bring your skates!
o   Sunday, August 9- All Classic Edition with DJ Stormin’ Norman, and DJ Cosi- 1pm-7pm at St. Nicholas Park at 135th and St. Nicholas Avenue

2. The Classical Theater of Harlem, and The City’s Parks Foundation Summerstage Presents “The Tempest”- Free and Open to the Public

o   A play by William Shakespeare, and Directed by Carl Cofield and starring Ron Cephas as Prospero
o   Tuesdays-Sundays at 8pm (Fridays at 8:15pm)
o   July 3-July 26, 2015
o   This Tempest is a ‘theatrical “gumbo” , blending villains, youthful romance, music, magic, and humor

6. Dance Theatre of Harlem Street Festival Presents Roy Ayers, Wednesday, August 12- Free Concert
o   Vibraphonist and vocalist, Roy Ayers, well known and respected Jazz Musician and R & B artist
o   Known as the God Father of Neo- Soul, bridging the gap between generations of music lovers
o   7pm-9pm at Marcus Garvey Park at West 122nd St. and Mt. Morris Park, Harlem

7.   The Wiz: A Celebration in Dance and Music and Dance/Master Class: Darrin Henson, Thursday, August 13- Free Concert
