Mad about the bass! Jon Hamm looks dapper as always as he joins forces with Meghan Trainor at charity event to help Charlotte and Gwenyth Gray

Now that Mad Men is over Jon Hamm has a lot more time on his hands - so he is using his star power to bring some goo into the world.

The 44-year-old actor along with singer Meghan Trainor lent their support to the Charlotte & Gwenyth Gray Foundation's Entertainment Industry Benefit in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday night.

Dressing in classic black, the two stars set a stylish tone for the charity evening.

Just like her songs, Meghan celebrated her curves in a saucy but still appropriate all-black ensemble.

The All About That Bass songstress stepped out in a tight high-waisted skirt with a matching suit jacket that fastened just under the bust line.

But taking her look for business blah to surprisingly sexy, the 21-year-old teamed the skirt with a satin bustier which drew attention to her curves without leaving her with too much cleavage on display.

Ensuring she stayed understatedly sexy, the songstress went without lots of accessories and jewellery.

The pop star also kept her makeup minimal and wore her long blonde locks out in natural looking soft waves.

This month celebrities have rallied around the Grays - which also includes Gordon's wife Kristen - after the couple found out their two daughter's suffered from a rare fatal neurodegenerative disorder called Batten Disease.

Charlotte, age 4, and Gwenyth, 20 months, have a form called late infantile NCL, which tragically slowly causes blindness, loss of muscle coordination and seizures and is usually fatal between the ages of eight and 12.

Already some of Hollywood's biggest names have asked their fans to donate just one dollar so that they can raise $12 million to fund research on developing treatments.

Sadly it is a battle against time with Charlotte already showing signs of the disease but her parents want to give hope not to just their girls but also others affected by the rare condition.

Julia Roberts this week revealed she had designed a necklace with jewellery designer Robin Renzi of Me&R to try to help the girls, while stars like Jena Dewan-Tatum, Mark Wahlberg Jennifer Lawrence and Gwyneth Paltrow have also lent their support.
