OPP constable charged with assault

OPP News Release

(THUNDER BAY, ON) – A member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from North West Region has been charged following an investigation by members of the Kenora OPP Detachment.

An investigation was initiated following an incident that occurred in Kenora on June 21, 2015.

As a result of the investigation, the OPP has charged a 25 year member from the Kenora Detachment. He was not on duty at the time of the incident.

Provincial Constable Steve Tetreault, 46, was charged with one count of Assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code. |

The accused is currently on leave and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on July 23, 2015.
