Healing Powers of Art in Healthcare

There has been a lot of research on the healing powers of art in healthcare design.  Patients and providers alike have all given their input on the calming effects of paintings and other works of art on the walls of healthcare facilities versus the stark white walls of days gone by.  A recent article in the Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis Arts and Humanities Newsletter discussed the many different ways artwork can help patients and families in the healing process.
