The Chemung County Library District Maker Expo is scheduled this year from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Steele Memorial Library.

The Expo is a free event where local artists, professors, craftspeople, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, tech clubs, engineers, musicians and businesses come to show what they make.

There will be a Slime Walk, Pottery demonstrations, First Team Lego Robotics, Power Tool Races, 3D printing demonstrations, Yo Yo contest, Minecraft, a Spinning Wheel and giant Loom demonstration, to name a few of the activities.

Last year approximately a thousand people showed up to see more than 30 exhibitions, presentations and demonstrations. Nothing is bought or sold at the Maker Expo. Folks are invited to share what they have learned while practicing the disciplines they are passionate about.
