CACHE CREEK — The village of Cache Creek has partially rescinded evacuation orders for a series of addresses due to a decreased risk from the past week’s flash floods.
The addresses include:
- 1291, 1301, 1303, 1395 Trans Canada Highway East
- Units 1 to 5, and 9 to 15 1055 Old Cariboo Rd (Riverside Mobile Home Park)
- 1302 and 1305 Stanley Park Drive
- 1493 Stage Rd
However there are still a series of properties under the evacuation order and they include Units 6, 7 and 8 1055 Old Cariboo Rd (Riverside Mobile Hme Park); and 1505 Stage Rd.
The government announced earlier that disaster financial assistance would be available to residents, and while Premier Christy Clark says there’s a limit to what can be done with that aid, the government will try to err on the side of compassion.
While some homes remain under an evacuation order, owners for many other homes are cleaning out mud and water.
The deluge sent water flowing down the streets like rivers, sweeping away yards and swamping homes and businesses.
The Village of Cache Creek has set up a fundraising account so you can donate to help.
