Fans of Jonesy's, the neighborhood hangout that rebranded as the Centennial Tavern at Jonesy's late last year, have eight more days to visit the Uptown spot. "The decision to open The Centennial was an attempt at making this corner more of a bar and ultimately it's proven to really just want be a restaurant," co-owner Leigh Jones explained as she announced the closure.

Jones and her partners Margaret Moore and J.D. Dossett decided to put their energy into running neighborhood bars instead of restaurants. The group owns the Horseshoe Lounge, the Bar Car, as well as Inga's Alpine Lounge. Jones is also working on a new bar project in North Denver.

The space that housed Jonesy's/Centennial Tavern for six years is up for grabs if you move fast. "We have a couple of offers on table to purchase the business, but nothing is set in stone," Jones said. "While we are closing for regular hours at the end of May, we welcome any events or parties and certainly would entertain business offers."
