Brockton Hospital School of Nursing graduates 74
BROCKTON – Seventy four students graduated from Signature Healthcare’s Brockton Hospital School of Nursing Thursday evening at the sold-out Whitman-Hanson Regional High School auditorium.
Of the 74, 22 were from the Brockton area and five represented the City of Champions. Thirteen of the graduates also received their Associate in Science degrees from Fisher College. Five overall received high honors from the program.
Before the graduation ceremony began, the nurses held the traditional pinning ceremony with their families and friends where several faculty members and nurses presented the students with small metal pins bearing the nursing school’s logo
After accepting their symbolic tokens, the class held its graduation ceremony. Signature faculty member Charlotte Hamill addressed the graduates during the commencement exercises, followed by the program’s day class valedictorian Aaron Raymond Shelanskas and weekend/evening class valedictorian Kathleen Ann Barber. The speeches were followed by a musical piece, the presentation of awards and the final display of the graduates.
