In fashion, a drop shoulder is a sleeve shape where the seam runs straight down from the top of the shoulder to the underarm. It is a more casual construction but the minimal shaping makes it a great choice for a first sweater. This week's free pattern, Lavanya, is an example of a dropped shoulder sweater.
