Two young women with the best of intentions attempted a rescue last night, but ended up needing some help of their own.
After seeing a duckling stuck in the mud with a fish-hook in its bill, the women crossed through the muddy area of Fishtrap Creek Park in Abbotsford.

They attempted to get to the little bird, but then got stuck themselves.
The Abbotsford Fire Department was then called to retrieve all three.
They recommend people do not attempt to rescue wildlife on their own.
