NOTE: Each week, MassLive will release its Athlete of the Week nominations. This week's voting ends Thursday at noon. The winner will be invited to a postseason party at MassLive, receive a plaque and more.

The MassLive Athlete of the Week Award is sponsored by Doctors Express and Frankie and Johnnie's Pizza. It will rotate between girls and boys each week and winners can not be nominated a second time.

Here are this week's nominees:

*Jonathan Collins, Southwick track - Scored 26 points to help Southwick win the team title at the Western Mass. (Districts F&G) Division II Championship meet. Won the long jump (20-7.25) and 400-meter run (51.41) while taking third in the high jump (5-10).

*Ross Kamin, Longmeadow tennis - Senior capped off an undefeated season at No. 1 singles with his second consecutive Western Mass. individual boys tennis championship with a win over South Hadley's Mike Miele.

*David Longstreeth, Smith Academy baseball - Senior now has 442 strikeouts in his career, one of the most in Western Mass. history. Struck out a career-high 18 against Easthampton May 13 and reached the 400 strikeout plateau in a 13-strikeout performance against Turners Falls on April 30. Has struck out 11 or more in four of his six wins, never giving up more than two runs.

*Michael McCormack, Mount Greylock lacrosse - The senior midfielder broke the state record for career points in Thursday1s game against Westfield, passing Duxbury1s Max Quinzani for No. 1 on the all-time list in Massachusetts.  McCormack has 581 career points (348 goals, 233 assists), including 82 goals and 74 assists this season for the Mounties.

*Anthony Deprey Willis, Chicopee Comp boys volleyball - The senior setter recorded 59 assists against Westfield on May 12, helping the Colts defeat its North League rival 3-2 at home. Deprey Willis then posted 32 assists in a 3-0 win over West Springfield on May 20 in a match that also secured Chicopee Comp a share of the North title.
