More than two dozen museums statewide are offering free admission to military families all summer as part of the Blue Star Museums program.
A collaboration between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and museums, the program offers free admission to active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
This year, more than 2,000 museums in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and American Samoa are taking part. The list includes fine arts museums, science and nature centers, historic sites and dozens of children's museums.
