Portland is frequently recognized as a leader in innovative technology and transportation solutions. Several major technology firms - including Intel and Tektronix - have headquartered their operations here for decades, earning the region the nickname “Silicon Forest”. With the city's community of technology start-ups rapidly expanding and a growing market for “smart” mobility and connected vehicle products, a new opportunity is emerging. Portland is poised to become a hub for the emerging automotive technology industry. Drive Oregon is partnering with OEN to host this special event in June, which will include a panel of experts and local start ups already working at the intersection of transportation and connectivity. We will be answering questions such as:
What are the market opportunities and risks in the connected mobility sector?
What local resources are available to help companies flourish in Portland’s emerging transportation software scene?
What local start-up firms are currently working in this space?
Event will be held at a special location - courtesy of our host, Jaguar Land Rover - at the Jaguar Land Rover Open Software Technology Center in the Pearl District in NW Portland.
Attendance is FREE for Drive Oregon members, $10 for OEN members, $20 for non-members. As always, Oregon beer, wine, and light refreshments will be provided at no additional charge.
