The final episode of the The Late Show With David Letterman aired last night, and it featured a blast from the past. The show played a clip of a much younger Letterman attempting to work the drive-thru at one of his favorite restaurants, Taco Bell, in 1996.
He spends his time messing with people, even asking one woman if she was Mexican because "If you're Mexican, the meal is half off." He then insists that a frustrated customer buy him lunch: "Can you do me a favor, it's my lunch break, and I haven't had a chance to get anything to eat. Can I ask you to get me a little something to eat?" Eventually, another customer realizes something is not quite right and asks Letterman, "Are you Howard Stern?" Close.
