It’s not always like what you see in the movies or a 30 minute TV show; there are so many emotions that you go through during the process; and it doesn’t necessarily happen quickly as is how it is often portrayed on TV. Sometimes you’re left in pregnancy limbo while your body slowly goes through the process of miscarriage. Check out Slate article of a personal account of miscarriage.

When I had my miscarriage 41 years ago, it was horrible. I had such pain, it felt ,like I was being gutted. This lasted for about three hours.i didnt have pains like normal contractions, like I said, it felt as though i was being gutted or like someone stuck me with a knife in my mid-section and kept turning it in circles. After enduring this for about 3 hours I needed to go to the bathroom. When I sat down I pushed like I was pushing my urine and I felt something 5hqt wasn’t urine. When I finished after not urinating I wiped, there was a lot of blood. When I stood I looked back into the toilet and saw a large “blob” I guess you’d call it. It was bloody and blue and a green like infection. It was a large enough thing that it covered the hole where everything goes when you use the toilet. I figure that was the baby. I bleed for a couple weeks after that, and the pain stopped after I passed it.
We are so sorry for your loss. Those of us who have endured both the physical and emotional pain of a miscarriage certainly can identify with your pain. Thank you for reading here at CreatingaFamily.org.
