6 hanks in Sugar Cane
The Crochet Dude® Size J/10-6mm hook from Boye®
The Crochet Dude® bent end yarn needle for weaving in ends

Gauge

Gauge 12 sts x 6 rows = 4” following stitch pattern (check gauge and adjust hook size if necessary)

Pattern

Row 1: Ch 398, skip 5 ch, * 1 dc into the next ch, ch 3, skip 3 ch * repeat from * to * across, dc in last ch, turn
Row 2: Ch 4 * 1 sc in 2nd ch of 3-ch group, ch 2, 1 dc in next dc, chain 2 * rep from * to * across, sc in turning ch of prev row, turn Row3: Ch5 *1 dc in next dc, chain 3*. repeat from *to* across,dc in turning ch of previous row, turn

Repeat Rows 2-3 until piece measures 32”, be sure to end with a Row 3.

Drawstring

Ch for 62”, sl st into ea ch across, fasten off

Weave in all ends.

Weave drawstring in and out of sts 6 rows down from the top. This will create the ruffled collar when worn.
