Joseph Samuel received an eight-year term Friday for promoting prostitution.

WOODBURY - Three men received prison terms Friday for coercing a 17-year-old runaway into working as a prostitute at a Gibbstown motel.

Two brothers — Brandon Samuel, 27, of Gibbstown and Joseph Samuel, 25, of New York City — got eight years each for promoting prostitution, said the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.

Ali Brown, 25, of West Deptford received an eight-year prison term for possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and a concurrent five-year sentence for promoting prostitution.

The men coerced their victim into engaging in sex acts with multiple partners, then took money that was paid to her in December 2016, the prosecutor's office said.

The men, jailed since their arrest in July 2017, entered guilty pleas in April.
