Regent Court, Royal Leamington Spa

IOTA’s Boulevard planters were selected for Regent Court shopping centre, in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa.

A total of 15 planters were used in this scheme, selected from the KYOTO and DELTA 45 stock designs in the standard RAL 7016 [Anthracite grey] colour. The specific tree planters selected were the highest volume options within these designs – specifically:

• KYOTO 120                    Dia. 1200 x H 900mm, Vol. 950L
• DELTA 45 Trough 140    L 1400 x W 450 x H 450mm, Vol. 260L

Boulevard planters are a range of high-performance composite planters made from a proprietary form of Fibre Reinforced Cement [FRC]. All Boulevard planters possess an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, making them suitable for a wide range of environments – from weight-restricted areas, to interiors, to public spaces and streetscapes.

Designed by Benoy Architects and completed in 2004, Regent Court is a major mixed-use project comprising 50,000 sq ft of retail space, 134 residential apartments and leisure use. The pedestrianised street links Regent Street and the Parade with the Royal Priors shopping centre; and the centrepiece of the development was the refurbishment of the Grade II* Listed Regent Hotel, which dates back to 1819.
