Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are slated to sit down with Fox's Megyn Kelly next week to discuss the scandal involving their son Josh's admitted sexual molestation of five young girls, including his sisters.
In a press release, the Duggars write: "Next week we will sit down with Megyn Kelly on Fox News to share our hearts with you about the pain that we walked through as a family twelve years ago, the tears we all shed and the forgiveness that was given. We appreciate the outpouring of love and prayers for our family at this time."
Revelations over a week ago by In Touch Weekly have rocked the reality show family, with TLC pulling their show off the air as advertisers flee the now-less than-wholesome Christian family show, 19 Kids and Counting.
While it remains to be seen exactly how hard-hitting former attorney Megyn Kelly's questions will be be for the Christian couple, the appearance by the two for a half-hour program on Fox will massively increase coverage of the Duggar family by the network which has avoided the controversy like a biblical plague since the story broke.
According to Media Matters, Fox News devoted less than 2 minutes to the breaking Duggar molestation story during the normally news-less Memorial Day holiday weekend, while at the same time, Fox "media analyst" Howard Kurtz knocked the other networks for "piling on."
Since that time, the network has found time to demonstrate how not to change a car tire and shared a recipe for Ainsley's Southern Pimento cheese.
The Duggars appearance on The Kelly Files is slated for Wednesday, June 3.
