Adjudicating System | ENKOR Competition


1. The ENKOR Competition Committee appoints all jury members.

2. Judges evaluate the competitors according to the Scoring System below and assign a combined score for each competitor.The scores from all judges are then averaged and the average score determine the award level.

SCORING SYSTEM:
Superior - 100 points
Excellent - 95 points
Very Good - 90 points
Good - 85 points
Above Average - 80 points
Average - 75 points
Below Average - 70 points
Poor - 65 points
Very Poor - 60 points

3. The biographies of the participants and other details such as previous awards, teacher's name or place of studying are not included in the file ENKOR Committee sends to the judges. The purpose is that such details may have influence upon the decision making process.

4. Conflict of interest: judges may not vote for any entry with which they have personal or professional affiliation but can vote for all others.

5. The prizes are awarded based solely on the submitted recordings. 

6. The competitors have no right to present any objections against the composition of the Jury. 

7. Judges' decisions are final and can't be appealed.

The large number of judges, their knowledge and variety of branches they represent, combined with the adjudication system and our know-how, (1) guarantee that the level of proficiency and artistry can be ranked with maximum accuracy, (2) eliminate the risk for positive or negative prejudice or underhand stipulations, and (3) provide a perfect chance the young musicians to be heard and recognized by major artists, teachers, and influential people in the music industry.
