AFROPUNK has announced AFROPUNK Chicago to happen June 4th at an undisclosed popular Chicago venue, the next stop on The Most Wicked Party Event Series in conjunction with Redd’s Wicked Apple and Mango. Hot off the heels of a highly successful AFROPUNK Atlanta that saw performances from Run the Jewels and Curtis Harding, AFROPUNK Chicago will host performances by Danny Brown and Chicago natives Hannibal Buress / recent G.O.O.D. Music signee HOLT. Redd’s Wicked Apple is continuing its partnership with cultural collective group, AFROPUNK, to curate the events that merge the multi-dimensional worlds of urban alternative music, art, food and technology.
Additionally, AFROPUNK will be creating content specifically for Chicago, as they do for all their events, called Born To Be Different. The Chicago stop, hosted by D.R.E.S. tha BEATnik will feature acclaimed Chicago Afrofuturism visual artist Hebru Brantly and also Max Sansing. Stay tuned for more announcements and RSVP to the Chicago event.
