Metallica's James Hetfield & Daughter Cali Cover Adele's 'Crazy For You'

Metallica Frontman Covers Adele's 'Crazy For You' With Special Guest

Metallica frontman James Hetfield treated the audience at a benefit concert on Friday night to a very special guest: his daughter, who proceeded to wow the crowd as they put their own spin on Adele's "Crazy for You."

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree because 16-year-old Cali Hetfield has a powerful set of pipes. Check it out in the fan-shot video above, and be sure to look for the proud papa smiling and nodding along as his daughter sings. (You can view the performance from another angle here.)

The two performed at the “Acoustic-4-A-Cure” benefit for the Pediatric Cancer Program at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Acoustic-4-A-Cure was created by Hetfield and singer Sammy Hagar, who acted as emcee and performed a few numbers of his own including "The Thrill Is Gone" in tribute to B.B. King, who died last week at the age of 89, and "Somebody to Love" with Linda Perry.

Other highlights of the concert include Hetfield performing Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Fear the Reaper" with Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains. Cantrell also performed Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here." Comic/actor Adam Sandler joined Patrick Monahan of Train and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers for Aerosmith's "Dream On," and Led Zeppelin's "Ramble On."
