Top Five Reasons You DON'T Need a Coach

#4 - I've no time for a coach.  My business is keeping me busy.

So, you're busy.  Great.  If one of the things that keeps you busy is working ON your business rather than IN your business, even better.   Here's a question for you.  If you had to stop working in your business, would it still pay you?

One of the most useful things a business owner can do is franchise his business.  Maybe you're not interested in selling your business or expanding.  You will still benefit from the planning and process behind ensuring everything your business does can be done without you or automatically.

My clients come to me because of my decades of success identifying what works in automation versus what doesn't.  Good information technology can make your business go bad in a hurry.  They also welcome an observant outsider, a veteran who has seen what works best in other industries and why.  What might they learn that can be leveraged in their industry as new and effective habits (if not automated) is why they pay me the not-so-big bucks.

When I remind my clients that together we'll achieve more, work less and celebrate often they sometimes have forgotten about the last two promises and focus on the achievement.  They are busy getting their goals.  Goals are not an achievement to celebrate.  No one is keeping score of how many or much of your goals per minute you accomplish.  What is ticking is your life's clock, down to your death. How much of that time do you want to spend on your current goals.  Don't you want time before your gone to work on goals you haven't identified yet?

So when you've accomplished something is that the last thought about it?  To meet the requirement of achieving more while working less, my clients and I find the best way to go forward, not the fastest, but the best.  Not the least expensive, but the one where we can be sure that each time this process is done in the business it needs less and less of my client's work to succeed.  Franchising the business means exploring in full detail with a mind open to all possibilities every action step taken by a business to fulfill its mission.  This makes the business lean, agile, easily understood by others and replicable. You may never want to see a hundred or thousand businesses with your name, franchised around the country.  You may, though, want to see all the things you haven't yet started that you're now free to do since you've worked with your coach to achieve more, work less and celebrate often.

Look for the number 3 reason you don't need a coach tomorrow.
