Happy New Year! The calendar year has ended and people all over the world are ready for a fresh start. All of us in the Northern Hemisphere are now seeing the return of light to our days, which is an ideal time to recommit ourselves to awakening the inner spiritual Light. In addition, the COVID vaccine offers us hope that we may once again be able to be together with friends and family in 2021. In this conversation, Heike Farkas (director, Integral Yoga Germany) and Avi Gordon (director, IYTA) discuss how to shift our attitude toward challenges, the practice of humility, and the importance of having fun. It is New Year’s Resolution time—time to set intentions and goals for 2021. I’ve personally set New Year’s Resolutions each year since I was a 10-year-old. As a life coach, when December rolls around, many of my clients spend a full one or two sessions with me to discover and develop their goals for the upcoming year. This year, I decided to use the following framework for not simply defining my goals, but also as a framework for my clients in their resolution defining sessions. MORE

In this short video, Poet Naomi Shihab Nye reads her inspiring poem "Gate A-4." She wrote this about an experience she had while traveling. "And I looked around that gate of late and weary ones and I thought, This is the world I want to live in. The shared world." She read this as part of "Incredible Bridges: Poets Creating Community," a project developed by the Academy of American Poets and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Prem discuss relationships (with oneself & others), communication, and how to respond vs. react. Incorporating Yoga's "Four Keys," and Buddhisms "Four Immeasurables," episode 9 of the "Two Old Fogey Yogis" podcast is a revelation! Listen on Soundcloud, iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, iHeart Radio, Pandora or wherever you listen to podcasts.

A few weeks ago, we featured an article on "Sri Guru Gita" and a link to purchase the CD/DVD set. The hard copies sold out, so now we're making a digital download available. The package includes the full Gita (in Sanskrit & English), the video (selected verses), and a PDF booklet of "Sri Guru Gita." If you purchased the hard copy, the link to find the verses no longer works, but you can email us and we can give you a new link plus access to the digital audio (mp3).
