Teachers Lounge closes after 10 years in Greenwood

by | Nov 24, 2022

The Teachers Lounge, an owner-driven themed cocktail bar on 85th and Greenwood that has been widely recognized for innovative mixology, has closed. A message posted on their website relayed the closure, “Thank you, Greenwood, for nearly ten years! We have sold the bar, so watch out for a new lounge in this space opening in early 2023. Meantime, come buy books, clothes, and weird stuff for your house before the end of the month. Much love, y’all!”

Seattle Eater has an excellent article on this, as well as details on the new venture that will take over the space, a bar named Dark Room.

If you are interested in some of the quirky items at the lounge, owner Perryn will be there selling items and cleaning house “Friday and Saturday, the late morning until evening.” Drop on by 8505 Greenwood Ave N. if interested!
