A Casual Conversation About Photography And Other Things

Kevin Raber and Ted Forbes talk photography

Many of you may know Ted Forbes from the Art Of Photography YouTube Channel. He and I met at one of the Sony events a few months ago. The Sony events have allowed many of the YouTubers and other content providers to meet face to face and form some friendships.

Ted and I really clicked (no pun) intended. We drank a few beers and had a few discussions on photography and things we had done. While doing so, we thought it would be a great idea to collaborate and do a video together. So, our first video Why You Will LOVE The New Sony A7III  was made in Las Vegas. It was quite popular and received a number of hits. Many viewers suggested that we do a second.

The Sony Kando event took place, as you probably know by now, a few weeks ago. Ted and I have again collaborated and created a second video. The new video is  In Photography There Are NO Rules . It’s fun conversation about a number of things but focused on photography, and with an emphasis on rules of photography, or perhaps more accurately, not being afraid to break the rules of photography.

Ted and I feed off each other‘s ideas and opinions, and as usual, we had a great discussion. We will do more of these in the future, and we are even thinking of doing a printing video together. I hope you enjoy our conversation.

P.SThank you to Michael Durr for taking care of the video for us.

Photography is my passion and has been for 45 plus years. My career in photography has allowed me to travel the world, meet some of the most interesting people on the planet and see things I could never have dreamed of. My goal is to share the passion of pictures taking through photographs and teaching with as many people as I can hoping it brings them as much joy and happiness as it has me. I do this through Rockhopper Workshops and other projects as well as teaching at my Gallery in Indianapolis.
