May Day Celebrations

Tomorrow marks the first day of May, also known as May Day! May Day is a traditional spring holiday in North America celebrated  on May 1st. Many European cultures celebrate by dancing around a “May Pole,” a large pole in the ground, decorated with streamers.
Dancing around a pole isn’t really your thing? Try dropping off some flowers on a friend’s doorstep. A long-standing May Day tradition is to leave a basket of flowers hanging on a neighbor’s doorknob.
Stop by the shop in Old Saybrook today and pick up a bundle of fresh flowers to celebrate or surprise a friend!
Happy May Day and Happy Spring from all of us at the flower shop!
