Let’s get together – The Disney Blog meetup December 1 – 2

The holidays are almost here and that means time for family and friends to go out and celebrate that great American tradition… a trip to Walt Disney World. Nothing makes Walt Disney World sparkle with pixie dust quite like the holiday season. That’s why, every year around this time the folks who listen to and enjoy the MouseChat podcast have a gathering at Walt Disney World. This year readers of The Disney Blog are invited too.

I’ve been writing The Disney Blog since June of 2004 and only rarely have I done any in person meetups. Which is odd, since I really enjoy meeting fellow Disney fans, whether they’re readers of The Disney Blog or not. Back when I wrote for LaughingPlace.com they had a series of very successful meetups at Disneyland and I met several people I still consider friends to this day. I’ve been to Disney Moms Panel meetups and made some great friends, I’ve even attended previous MouseChat meetups and came to know some great people.

So I’m happy to have this chance to partner with MouseChat for weekend of fun. There are three different gatherings for Disney fans who enjoy MouseChat or The Disney Blog to meet up. All you need to do is RSVP, so we can have a headcount.

We kick off the weekend with a breakfast and podcast recording at The Wave on the morning of Saturday, December 1 at 8:30AM. We are doing a live podcast recording at the Wave breakfast buffet. Everyone needs to eat right? This breakfast does have a charge because Disney charges us for the room and food. You also get to be a part of our podcast recording! We promise to be done early enough for you to have time in the parks if that’s what you want.

There are two events on Sunday, December 2.

If you want some friendly competition, join us in the morning for the Winter Summerland mini golf tournament. You just need to pay at Disney’s mini golf window for yourself and anyone you bring. Disney’s mini golf prices are very reasonable. Hey, we will be giving out prizes too.

Then in the early afternoon, we’ll make our way to EPCOT to enjoy the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. The EPCOT event is free. You just have to have an EPCOT admission ticket and bring some money for snacks. We will be strolling around EPCOT and enjoying the Fall weather while snacking around World Showcase.

Drop your RSVP today (or reserve your breakfast ticket) and we will see you on December 1st and 2nd!
