new york rangers’ twitter boycotts all capitals

The New York Islanders played a tough game 7, but it was the Washington Capitals who eventually came out on top, and the Tampa Bay Lightning led by Tyler Johnson forced a game 7 with a 5-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

We see what you did there, New York Rangers.

In a troll move of Paul Pierce proportions, the Rangers official Twitter account began boycotting capital letters once their second-round matchup with the Washington — wait for it — Capitals was set Monday night.

Pretty sneaky, New York. You are temporarily the e.e. cummings of hockey tweets.

The divisional rivals kick off their series at Madison Square Garden Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Please, @washcaps, resist the urge to tweet in ALL CAPS out of spite.
