180,000 people visit Waterproof: Safety at Sea

The Heritage & Education Centre is delighted to announce that the Foundation-funded exhibition, Waterproof: Safety at Sea, has been visited by over 180,000 people during its yearlong placement. The exhibition was opened in June 2018 to coincide with the 150th anniversary of Lloyd's Register operating in the Netherlands.

Focusing on the important role of Lloyd's Register in developing maritime safety, the exhibition was given an approval rating of 8.5/10 from visitors. Highlights from the exhibition include interviews with Lloyd's Register's marine surveyors, historical document replicas and original artwork. Information about the Foundation funded SOMOS and MX3D projects was also included in the exhibition, depicting the charity's commitment to funding innovative initiatives enhancing the safety of life and property.
