REVEALED! Crystal Palace and Hull City failed with deadline day bids for ex-Sunderland midfielder Yann M’Vila

Premier League clubs Crystal Palace and Hull City both failed with deadline day moves for former Sunderland midfielder Yann M'Vila.

The Frenchman, who spent last year on loan at the Stadium of Light, was wanted by the Premier League pair to aid their relegation battles.

But, according to Foot Mercato, the 26-year-old's current club Rubin Kazan were reluctant to sell.

That caused both Palace and Hull's approaches to fail, even though M'Vila was reportedly open to the idea of returning to England.

The midfielder has an £11million release-clause in his contract with Rubin Kazan, but no club was willing to fork out that much for his signature.
