Whilst the Winter chill is currently upon us, we would like to share some highlights from our work and team updates since Summer. 

From hospitality activations for cricket to tennis and polo to horseracing, along with a multitude of conference and corporate parties, Event Planet has been busier than ever producing events for our wonderful clients and their special guests.

Land Rover Polo VIP Marquee

Event Planet launched the Summer season in style with Land Rover Australia's sponsorship marquee at the Waterford Crystal Polo in the City tournament. We created a bespoke English Country Polo Garden complete with a timber gazebo, lush turf, climbing ivy and roses and a fabulously fun media wall complete with polo sticks and wooden hobby horses as props. VIP guests were treated to a delectable canape menu and charcuterie station, Pol Roger champagne and Pimm's cocktails served in crystal goblets. Click here for a sneak peak

 


A Tribute to Roger Federer - A Living Legend

Event Planet started the year on a high, producing a star-studded Moët et Chandon Tribute Event for Roger Federer in the Chairman’s Villa at Crown. The special occasion celebrated the ‘Living Legend’ and some of his most memorable tennis milestones. Guests were treated to an intimate Grand Vintage Champagne journey matched with a custom-design canapé menu designed by renowned Melbourne chef, John Lawson. The entertainment highlight of the night was a Q&A interview hosted by Catriona Rowntree. Click here to view photos


World-class International Conference in Sydney

Event Planet recently produced the conference of all conferences in Sydney for 180 guests from over 40 different countries. The ambitious program included 4 days of conferencing, guest speaker sessions and workshops hosted at Sheraton on the Park, a team-building sailing regatta on Sydney Harbour and unique events to celebrate the richness of Australia at night. Guests experienced Indigenous culture, Fort Denison, Bondi Beach and a magnificent gala dinner with fireworks at Strickland House. Click here for more event details and photos.  


A Harvard Business School Experience for Event Planet

Event Planet’s Managing Director, Amy Merriman, recently packed her suitcase and went back to school to study at Harvard Business School. The week-long Executive Education Program 'Leading Professional Service Firms' was a brilliant opportunity for Amy to learn from some of the best lecturers in the world, in a truly international classroom with leaders from a multitude of other service-based agencies and businesses. Since Amy's return we've been busy implementing new operational techniques and launching new innovations to continue to improve and grow for the future. Event Planet Through the Eyes of an Intern

At Event Planet, we love playing a helping hand in kick-starting the careers of young, event management graduates and students by opening our doors to give them a first-hand opportunity to work within our team. The participants in our Internship Program gain valuable exposure to the briefing, creative, planning and delivery phases of our client work. We are proud to announce that Lauren Willis, one of our interns who has graduated from Macleay College, has recently been appointed into a permanent and full-time role with the company.
