Product focus

Lead bricks

While lead-lined boards are one of Midland Lead’s core products, some radiation therapy installations – such as gamma knife rooms, HDR rooms or multi-modality rooms – will require a greater level of radiation protection. In these instances, where the protection needs to be greater than 10mm thick, lead bricks are the most appropriate material to build a shielding system.

Lead-lined boards

How thick do they need to be?

Uncertain what thickness of lead-lined boards you require for an x-ray installation? We've created an infographic that gives you indicative lead thicknesses. Remember to always consult a radiation protection advisor for the precise specifications to meet your requirements.
