Lincoln Center Education along with the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts have brought the exhibit "SWING" to Snug Harbor.

As a part of their Black History Month celebration, the display illustrates how swing music and dance developed from black and Afro-Caribbean dance orchestras of the 1920’s.

Visitors can see and hear the music dating back to the World War two era.

Officials with the exhibit tell NY1, if this is your first encounter with swing music, it certaintly won't be your last.

"It is a great art form and it is something that they will probably go home and start looking for on Spotify or on Hulu and try to listen to the music themselves. It is really uplifting and it is great for a party, if you are having  a party and you want to get people dancing, put on some swing music." Larry Anderson, Director of Performing Arts and Public Programs said.

"SWING" will be open to the public, starting Saturday February 18th and will remain open through April 15th.
