A303 Stonehenge public statutory consultation 2018

Closed 23 Apr 2018

Opened 8 Feb 2018

Overview

We ran a Statutory Public Consultation between February and April 2018 about our proposals for improving the A303 past Stonehenge between Amesbury and Berwick Down. We received over 5,000 responses to the consultation; thank you to everyone who shared their views.  Following feedback, we ran another supplementary consultation – details can be found by visiting the Supplementary Consultation page.

Statutory consultation 2018

Consultation has now closed for our proposals to improve the A303 past Stonehenge between Amesbury and Berwick Down.

The scheme is part of the government’s strategy to upgrade the A303/A358 route to a continuous dual carriageway to improve connectivity between the South East and the South West of England.

To access information and documents relating to the previous consultation, please visit the 2017 consultation page.

This public consultation is the latest step in the legal and planning process to apply for a Development Consent Order. For more information about this, see our handy guide to the planning process.

All the latest information about the scheme is available:

  • on the scheme website
