Are you considering a breast augmentation in Portland but not sure what to expect and how much it costs? Breast augmentation is one of Dr. DeMars’ most commonly requested procedures and therefore receives the most questions, including questions about the price. (Click here to find out what we think you should know about before breast augmentation.)

Hundreds of women have trusted Dr. DeMars to perform this procedure that many tell us it is a “priceless” investment in their own self-image and confidence. Price shouldn’t have to stop you from achieving your aesthetic goals; read below to learn about what price you can expect and how you can afford it.

Price of a Breast Augmentation

In general, the price of a breast augmentation procedure is between $6,000-8,000 dollars. This an all-inclusive price, meaning it includes the cost of the breast implants and surgeon, facility and board-certified anesthesiologist fee.  The cost of a breast augmentation procedure by Dr. DeMars can, however, vary depending on several factors including: breast implant type, complexity of the procedure needed, and if a breast lift is also needed.

For example, silicone breast implants are often more expensive then saline implants. There are different advantages and disadvantages to each type, which Dr. DeMars can explain to you during a consultation. You can also read up on choosing the right type of breast implant here.

The complexity of the procedure can affect the price. This includes revision breast augmentation surgery or removing outdated or ruptured breast implants.

Finally, during a consultation Dr. DeMars may advise that a breast lift in conjunction with an augmentation may be necessary to achieve the look you want. In this case, the price may be affected as well.

What to Be Aware Of

You may find some surgeons who offer breast augmentations for $2,000 – 4,000 dollars. This is often the case when the surgeon is a cosmetic surgeon, not a board-certified plastic surgeon. What is the difference? Get the details from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons here.

Additionally, a surgeon who is quoting you that low of a price may not be including fees such as the facility fee or anesthesia fee. Be sure to ask!
