If you’re already desperate for a holiday... sorry. This isn’t going to help. If anything it’s going to make your daydreams about slipping into a cool blue swimming pool even more vivid.

You can blame photographer Brad Walls. He’s just released a new series of snaps called ‘Pools From Above’ and they are just that: dreamy, aerial shots of even dreamier swimming pools.

He calls the photographs, which are all taken from a bird’s-eye view, an ‘an ode to the beauty found in the shapes, colours and textures of swimming pools’.

‘I fell in love with the lines, curves and negative space of the pools, which – without alternate perspective from a drone – would have been lost,’ he says.

The pools he’s photographed so far have been in Australia and South East Asia, but Walls plans to add to the project once he can travel the world again, by capturing pools in places like Palm Springs and Mexico.

If you need us, we’ll just be gazing longingly at these images for the foreseeable. ⛱
