Don’t fret about Tom Brady’s future retirement plans, 12 fans. Because the New England Patriots QB/QT told a tech conference the other day that he plans to stay in the Boston area forever!

“This is where my kids were born, where they’ll be raised,” Brady told the audience at the Salesforce World Tour Boston stop at the Hynes Convention Center. “I’ll be a lifer here.”

Brady, a suprise speaker, took questions from Salesforce czar Keith Block and the Cali homeboy raved about playing for New England fans.

“With all due respect to the Bay Area, there’s no better place to play than Boston,” Tom said. “When I got here, it was still very much a Red Sox town. They really dominated the headlines. We were fortunate to win in 2001 and it made people interested in football again. And we’ve had such a great run for the past 15 years.”

Brady said he got “goosebumps” driving up to the Hynes, from where the Duck Boats departed for the Pats’ Super Bowl victory parade a couple of months back.

“Man, it was a sweet feeling to be able to drive through the city and see the support we had,” he said.

Brady also spoke to the techies about how he has used Facebook to connect to fans over the past year.

“It’s a great platform for sharing what you want to share, not necessarily what the media outlets want to share,” he said.

Tommy said at first he was apprehensive about engaging.

“In some ways, I’m very protective about what I want to share with people … but I’ve also seen over the last year how many fans enjoy seeing other parts of my life.”

Like, for example, when he decided to jump off that cliff in Costa Rica while his wife, Gisele Bundchen, and son Benjamin — and later, the whole world — watched.

“I’ll tell you, I was pretty scared,” he said. “My wife said, ‘Are you gonna do it?’ and I said, ‘I think so.’ Sometimes in life, impressing a girl is still one of the best things.”

Brady, who has no plans to retire from football any time soon, could easily transition from the gridiron to the motivational-speaker circuit when the day finally comes. Besides speaking to the Salesforce crew last week, he also made a stop at son Jack’s school, St. David’s in NYC, and chatted with the eighth-graders.

The Super Bowl MVP “stressed the importance of working hard, honoring teamwork, believing in oneself and being a good listener in order to learn from those who know more than you. … He likened their teachers to great coaches and urged the boys to ‘treat each assignment as a game: plan, strategize, and execute,’” according to a report on the school’s website.

But the highlight of the night came when Brady and his boys, Jack and Benjamin, tossed an autographed football to every eighth-grader as a memento of the night.
